1) Most Programming announcements may be listed in the Order of Service
once (the Sunday prior to the event).
2) Group-focused announcements are rarely appropriate unless they
represent a last-minute change.
3) Institutional announcements may be repeated for more than one week
but it is highly recommended that the text be changed to make it more
interesting.
4) Order of Service announcements should have a maximum of 20-30 words.
5) Submissions are due in the church office by noon on the Wednesday
prior to the Sunday.
6) It is not acceptable to have both a pulpit announcement and Order of
Service announcement on the same Sunday.
7) Special flyers or inserts are not allowed in the Order of Service. Groups
must coordinate a team of volunteers to hand out their flyers AFTER the service
and only with advance notice to the office. It is not appropriate to ask the
ushers to hand out flyers.
