Adult Education
2007-2008

Workshops and classes will be held throughout the year, and will be publicized in The Liberal newsletter, Sunday Orders of Service, and in this space.

Once a month, we will have U-Nite on Wednesday evening with a multigenerational activity from 5:45-6:30, a potluck dinner from 6:30-7:30, and an adult learning opportunity after dinner.

May 14, 2008

Come join us for the final U-Nite!

5:45 – Activity for all ages: Welcome Home Baskets for Simpson Housing Services
Learn about our connection with Simpson Housing Services and make "Welcome Home Baskets" for Simpson Shelter residents moving into permanent housing. We will have some supplies on hand - but would appreciate your contributions of: $20 gift certificates to Target, Cub or similar discount store, laundry soap, dish soap, mop, bucket, toilet paper, sponges, calendar, wall clock, broom, dust pan, paper towels, glass cleaner, bath towels, and/or bathroom cleaner

6:30 – Potluck dinner – bring your favorite dish to share, drinks will be provided

7:30-9:00 – Adult Education -  Spirit in Practice

This spring we're field testing a UUA program for adults called Spirit in Practice on Sunday mornings. Come to U-Nite to get a flavor of what we're doing there. Sunday morning participants are welcome, as we'll be doing some of the activities that we've not had time to complete (intercessory prayer, for example). Newcomers are also welcome so that you can start to experience how UU spiritual practice might play a role in your life.

Lifespan Faith Development Director, Heidi Mastrud, will coordinate these events, and welcomes your ideas and volunteer hands (612-825-1791, x124).
